This 200GSM Scuba fabric is a double-knit neoprene alternative composed of 95% Polyester and 5% Spandex. It features a two-layer knit construction with a smooth face and a brushed or looped back, sandwiching a thin air layer in between. Sewing and Cutting: Use a ballpoint needle and a medium-width zigzag stitch. Cutting requires sharp scissors or a rotary cutter. Seams may be finished with a serge/overlock stitch or covered with binding tape for a clean look.
Performance Note: This is a chlorine-resistant, synthetic alternative to traditional neoprene. It provides insulation but is not designed for deep-water diving or extreme cold, for which thicker, rubber-based neoprene is required.
